About the Author
Tony Maxey wrote his first computer program in college almost forty years ago. For several years he worked in progressively responsible IT roles in several industries: machinery, paper, pharmaceutical, metals distribution, and consumer packaged goods. He has designed and programmed business software, managed data centers and nationwide data communication networks, overseen hardware conversions, and directed data center relocations. At one company he managed the IT software development staff during the selection and customization of a purchased ERP software package and its successful implementation across multiple manufacturing plants.
Later on, Tony worked in product development for a large software company on the West Coast. While at that company, he was lead product manager during the design, build, and launch of three new enterprise software products in the “order to cash� space that were purchased and successfully implemented by a number of companies in several diverse industries. One of those products was honored by industry analyst Gartner Group as a “Magic Quadrant Leader in its class.
Today, Tony and his wife live a quiet life in a small northern California town. He has reinvented himself again: this time as a freelance writer and commercial and fine arts photographer.
